Run Zan Run

This book Run Zan Run is about a girl Katie who is being bullied at school. One day she comes across a girl on the dumpsite who has a likely resemblance to her. This girl who we come to call Zan is on the run from a everyone after people think that she killed her parents in a house fire. The book tells of her helping Katie to stand up to her bullies and tells her story as well.

It was a really good book which I could not put down.

Fighting Back

'Fighting Back' was the first book by Catherine MacPhail that I ever read. It is about a girl, Kerry, and her mother who move into a council housing estate which is dominated by a horrible criminal family, the Lafferty's. Their lives are made hell by by Ma Lafferty and her daughter Tess as they show who is boss.

When I first read this book I was only about 10 years old and 8 years on I am still hooked to Catherine MacPhails books.
